Although most government restrictions have ended, we remain mindful of the risk from Covid in our gatherings. Our Sunday services are now spread over the main hall and two relay rooms, so that we can fit everyone in. We have retained a higher level of social distancing in one of these relay rooms, where all seating is 1.5m apart and facemasks are kept on at all times. If you would prefer to sit in this room, please tell a Steward on arrival.
The following measures remain in place for everyone during our services:
  • Everyone will be asked to use the hand sanitizer provided when they arrive.
  • Face masks are required when moving around the building and when singing.
  • Rows of chairs in the main hall and second relay room are spaced 1.25 metres apart to reduce the number of people who would be close contacts in the event someone is infectious.
  • We are recording contact details for all who come to our services so that we can help NHS Track and Trace.
  • We are not yet handing out Bibles, so please bring your own.
  • Bread and wine for communion are distributed in individual cups before the service.
It is vital that you do not attend the service if you:
  • Show any signs of having Covid-19 (dry cough, high temperature, loss of taste or smell)
  • Have been in contact with anyone showing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 2 weeks
  • If you have been asked or recommended by a doctor or NHS Track and Trace to self-isolate
  • If you are considered high risk of catching Covid-19 (over 70 or with a pre-existing medical condition) then we would advise you to check with your doctor before attending the service.
If you show any symptoms of Covid-19 in the week after the service, please alert the church office immediately at hello@mrc-oxford.org
