Developing a Christian Mind at Oxford

Christianity and the Life of the Mind: An Introduction

Saturday 26 - Sunday 27 January 2019
Ship Street Centre, Jesus College, Oxford

Oxford postgrads, postdocs and faculty are invited to this conference about developing a Christian mind.

What does our calling to be disciples of Christ mean for our academic life, whether temporary as students or longer term as a career? What are some of the promises and pitfalls of the scholarly life? How can academics and postgraduate students serve and relate to the wider body of Christ, the church? Christianity and the Life of the Mind examines these questions and more.

The event will include lectures by academics including Alister McGrath (Theology), Katherine Blundell (Astrophysics), Ard Louis (Theoretical Physics), Elaine Storkey (Sociology), John Gallacher (Psychiatry), and Michael Lloyd (Theology) along with plenty of time for discussion.

Early-bird registration costs £15, and meals are included. Bursaries are available by request to admin@dcmoxford.org. Find out more and register today at dcmoxford.org
