Magdalen Road Church > Following Christ > Praying

Praying

As a community of people devoted to delighting in God and displaying his glory, prayer underpins all that we do. We believe that God has chosen to work out his sovereign plans through the prayers of his children. And it is our desire to promote a culture of prayer in which we are constantly interceding for one another and bringing to the Lord the needs of individuals, the community and the wider world.

We believe that everyone is called to be part of the corporate prayer life of the church and we encourage joining together in prayer at all levels of church life, from prayer partnerships to church prayer meetings.

Homegroups

Homegroups are a central element of our life together, and prayer is a vital element in them.  We encourage all regular attenders to belong.

Prayer meetings

In addition we have meetings devoted to prayer:

  • Weekly Prayer Breakfasts - 7:00am every Thursday, meeting at the church building.

  • Monthly First Tuesday meetings which are an opportunity to communicate news and things happening in the life of the church and to pray for them - 7:45pm on the first Tuesday of each month, meeting at the church building.

e-pray

e-pray is the weekly prayer bulletin of Magdalen Road Church.

As we seek to care for one another and reach out to those around us, we are committed to praying regularly for others in the church family.  e-pray is a great resource to help us do this in an informed way.
